    I have filed a complaint with both wysong (they don't care) and the FDA, which hasn't done anything I can come across about the problem.

    Since wysong epigen 90 became unusable, I've bounced from brand to brand and was suffering through high blood glucoses on orijen because of what looked like a superior ingredient list.

    I'thou now giving young again zero carb another try. My cats don't seem to like it as much as orijen, just that's just tough.

Sluggo will eat the canned blueish wilderness craven pate, which is supposedly very low carb, but I think he was chowing down on the orijen during the night time hours when I wasn't feeding him the canned stuff. Orijen has a super ingredient listing, but it calculates out to sixteen% dry matter carbs on the scheyder calculator. And then even though all the cats honey orijen, information technology's gone in the garbage & I've put out YA zero carb for all 3 fur-babies. Run across if that helps. I use to pay $38/8 lb. bag with Colina's Science Diet, but it just lasted a piddling over a month.....so don't let the nutrient'southward cost fool you, information technology's a deal.

47. I hope you're correct. Sluggo has had an ongoing insulin requirement, though less, since those abscessed teeth came and went. I'd had him on 1/2 unit AM & PM with claret glucoses in the 140-180 range. Yesterday morn, after feeding him a flake more of his canned bluish wilderness, I witnessed a moonshot into the mid-200s so covered him with 2 units. I decided to accept away his canned food & just leave him to his devices with the immature again zero carb. I see him avidly visiting the bowl and at least putting the stuff in his mouth, simply don't hear him crunching it with his few remaining teeth. Hopefully he'southward eating it whole. His blood glucoses since so take been: 119, 104, 90 (no coverage since the 2u dose). So either he's starving or YA zip carb has gotten him off the juice. I estimate I'll be watching for yellowish eyes.... Coming upwards on 24 hrs since last insulin and if that one'southward normal, I think I'll put away the glucometer and requite his poor ears a intermission!

    Either he's off the juice or he's starving and nigh to get very ill. Who knows. Cats are funny animals.     I would call this one a victory for young once more nada carb versus an allegedly loftier quality moisture canned preparation in a diabetic. And, importantly, Mr. Slugo is now OTJ!

    For Mr. Sluggo, I'd say moisture canned food (allegedly a very proficient one) has been a disaster. Perhaps not as big a disaster as Orijen, which is, in turn, meliorate than your garden variety over-the-counter kibble, merely markedly suboptimal, at the very to the lowest degree.

73. I would throw out a give-and-take of caution here, even though I believe YA is a very skilful hard food. I have a friend who has three cats and he started feeding YA, they started off eating it pretty practiced considering they were eating Wellness Core before. After the kickoff 8lb bag he ordered a bigger bag and that is when his trouble started. One of his cats started eating less than the others, he idea that was the style it was suppose to be based on the information from YA and the cat needed to lose a petty weight. He started watching him more closely and figured out he was barely eating at all so off to the vet he went, vet said the cat was eating less than half of his required amount of calories and based on blood work he was very concerned the cat was going into hepatic lipidosis. He told my friend to notice another food, didn't cared what information technology was at this stage it just had to exist something he would eat. And then he picked up another difficult food and some canned food to get him eating again. It has been a wearisome process but the cat is out of the forest and putting weight dorsum on once more. Vet was not sure what the cause was, he was just happy the cat turned around.

    Then I guess I am saying I realize YA says the cats volition eat less of their food, but make sure they are eating plenty to either sustain their weight or not losing it to fast if they demand to lose weight. 75. If he'll eat the FF why are you trying to feed him Young Once again? Feed him both if he likes them but I would use YA as a crunchy treat more than than his master meal. He'll do well with FF pate foods, you tin can exit wet out through the day and nighttime. By morning they will have eaten most, all or leave a little. You just need to find a food he likes quickly and stick with it, you don't need food drama on peak of the diabetes.

I also don't want a sharp carb blitz that spikes his numbers upward. I wish he would pace himself to eat when he is hungry and not gobble information technology all upward at one setting and then that it cna go throughout the day until I give him a tin can at night. 81. Had this problem with Elvis [not eating much at all] for a little while on the Zero, and so when I switched to Mature it was better, just still at times non so much. It was only when I started to mix a very small amount of the EVO dry that he started eating it. There are times I don't put the EVO in and he eats it; if I meet him finicky again, I put about a couple of tspns. and starts eating information technology once again. I recollect it has something to practice with the smell; the YA olfactory property isn't very strong, but the EVO is.

82. Well there's the rub. I accept a cat that will not consume moisture food. I put a piece of cooked salmon from my plate in forepart of him and he walks away. I would only recommend the YAZC (all dry out) to those who take problems with their cats eating canned or fresh.

83. FWIW, Elvis was 18 lbs., sluggish and lethargic when he was on the Hills' Scientific discipline Diet C/D.....since he'south been on YA he has been right around 14lbs. for a year now, with occasional fluctuations of .five lb. upwardly or down.

    FF "classics" all fit the "depression carb" category. I think Mixed Grill is the highest, but just about all of them are 5% or lower if I retrieve correctly.

    If you feed the pates in the FF you are okay. The only problem I accept with FF is all the past-product. Granted they need past-products (liver, heart, gizzard, etc..) merely they need the muscle meat also and some practise have muscle meat in them, I have tried to stay away from the Mixed Grill considering it is all by-production. I tried feeding YAZC and Wysong Epigen ninety, I had 3 cats that kept diarrhea from the nutrient, that is iii out of seven and so had to requite it up, they tin't keep running with diarrhea. So...I gave up on the hard food. It has been actually hard managing the canned nutrient when all they have known all their lives is hard nutrient. I tired raw, they turn their noses upwards at it and walk away. Cats feed off of smell, and so that means a lot to them. I think that is why fish is then popular, strong smell. My senior baby that I feed Tiki Cat, I mix 1/4 teaspoon of their fish flavors into the chicken so she will consume it. We do what nosotros have to practise.

86. Both the Young Once again and the Wysong Epigen xc gave 3 of my kitties diarrhea, and getting them past it afterward removing the nutrient took a bit. My kitties grew up with hard nutrient, because that is what I knew, at present I feed but canned nutrient. And yes they are thinner and seem so much healthier, I believe raw would be better for them to pull the meat and chew like they would in the wild. Just I have had no luck with raw food, they sniff it and walk away. They are so hard but I would non trade any of my kitties for the world.

87. Me neither Nancey. I dearest my babies and they bring me so much joy. I just wish it wouldn't be so difficult to feed them something they all agree on. Poopers comes first with eating due to his diabetes and thankfully he eats Turkey and Giblets. It contains muscle meat commencement in turkey and has poultry giblets. Appears since it has less than half dozen% carbs I but hope it volition start working for him. Today has non been good with his numbers. He started out at 325 but has gone up all 24-hour interval even with insulin in the morning. Yesterday was complete opposite so not sure why he kept going upwards today but by eating FF and perchance some YAZC.

    Await at a few spreadsheets of people who feed the exact aforementioned food and give the same exact dose over several days. It is more likely that yous will see very dissimilar looking cycles than that you'll see cycles that expect the aforementioned (although that seems to defy logic).

    Effort not to focus on the cycle by cycle data, and expect more at overall trends. The "big picture" is easier to go a handle on than the "whys" behind 12 hr chunks of fourth dimension.

Tootsie, my 18+ year sometime who weighs all of 5 lbs. yet appears healthy as a horse, was on dry food for years, but since I've had to switch Elvis to Immature Once again, I started her on FF canned which she adapted to beautifully; however she just likes the pates with the cheese. At least I don't accept to worry about Elvis eating it, but it'south good to know that if he ever does sneak some information technology shouldn't be a trouble. This IS truthful also of these, not only the classics, correct?

90. I had to go expect as my cats were not addicted of the cheese flavors. Looks like all but 3 are 10% or less.

    I am glad the Young Once more is working for you, wish it worked for mine so they would stay out of the dog food. Just because that is upsetting their tummies I am at my wits end. I can't put the dog food up during the day, she is 15 years former and nibbles at her food when no one is home with her. At night I put it up since she sleeps with us and never leaves the bed till morning (my married man has to put her on and off the bed). Needless to say it is not helping Frodo's BG's at all. Information technology is a daily struggle, when they don't like the canned food they get after the dog food. I wish there was a pet food company that was consistent in their quality. Getting cans that are as well dry so the next they are juicy makes it difficult and merely adding water to the can does not assist. My married man has suggested I just make information technology myself since I am unhappy with what nosotros are getting, but I need a recipe that does non crave grinding of meat. Withal trying to find a good i. If anyone has any suggestions/recipes I would honey to meet them.
